Health & safety camera tutorial

Cameras & Health and Safety
In this session we was given a tutorial on how to use a camera safely. Our task was to film someone swapping bags, but we had to use different camera techniques to create suspense and tension. Before we started filming our scene we had to learn how to safely use a camera. We learnt how to insert the memory cards and the battery. We learnt how to put the camera on the tripod. the tripod helps us to hold the camera in one place which allows you to record footage without the camera shaking. It makes you tilt or pan the camera which makes it look less sloppy and camera is kept in a bag which has padding in it

The bag helps us protect the equipment and travel lighter to go to different locations. After the tutorial of how to use the computers we had to create a story board for the sequence we were going to create. Story boards allow you to know what’s happening and the order of your sequence.

After we filmed our match cut we realised that we done many things incorrect.
We did not stick to the 180 rule and the dialogue did not match. Our dialogue did not match which made our piece not confusing and did not match the parts we edited together.
