I think the opening is very mysterious because you see the dark horizon. I like the opening sequence because you automatically know that more going to happen it’s a contrast of colours however the colours are very dark but calming which kind of ironic because I see that a bad things going to happen.
The title sequence is in black, white and blue it makes it stand our serif fonts have been used in this sequences it dennotates that it is a kind of straightforward and makes you think is a tiny bit serious. However, it shows a bit of sci fi.
It has a subtle changes because it don’t really change in colour but I totally different contrast because the colours change

Suspense shows in Arlington Road's trailer.

The clip ‘Arlington road’ shows normality being twisted because it starts from something being normal from the totally opposite This is shown using the technical elements which are sound, mise en scene camera work, and editing. The type of camera shots used were, low angel shot was used make things look bigger it was used on a white detached house which made which gives a false representation of innocence however white houses are used in a lot of horror movies , they used so no one can know where you are and shows your alone There is a soundtrack of kids laughing and shouting this shows the twist because yes kids lauht but suggest there a disorder because they are shouting which then shows to the audience that something’s wrong. The connotation of kids is pure and innocence so by having children in the scene makes the clip seem more disturbing.the mise en scene is normal because they have everyday atmosphere such as garden, park, dog and house give you asense of normality however every shot is in negative. Which give you an idea that something must be going on.

Deja Vu - how was the suspence created in trailer.

The clip we watched was Déjà vu directed by Tony Scott, he made it look like a happy movie, normal vacation on the ship. However in order to build a false suspense when the child dropped the doll in the sea, and the audience thought that it was a real baby. Although the real suspense was when the man in the parking area was looking around, because he heard the music playing in one of the cars. Non diagetic demonic music builded the tension and shows us that the real action was about to start.

Suspense.

Suspense is a feeling of uncertainty and anxiety about the outcome of certain actions, most often referring to an audience's perceptions in a dramatic work. Suspense is not exclusive to fiction, though. Suspense may operate in any situation where there is a lead up to a big event or dramatic moment, with tension being a primary emotion felt as part of the situation
